Welcome to the Erskine Arms

A traditional Georgian coaching inn nestled within the medieval walls of Conwy.

Located a stone’s throw from King Edward I’s imposing medieval fortress, Conwy Castle, and as much the local’s local as it is the visitor’s retreat, offering the perfect afternoon stop, evening out or weekend escape. Our bar has an array of great local beers and quality wines as well as the usual and sometimes not so usual tipples. If you're looking for something a little different then why not try one of our seasonal long drinks.

Medieval retreat

Nestled in the historical and medieval walls of Conwy gives the town a very "oldie worldie" feel whilst the arrival and refurbishment of numerous bars, pubs and restaurants in recent years gives the place a buzzy atmosphere of a seaside resort.

The Erskine Arms has 10 boutique guest bedrooms over three floors that sit above the warm and friendly pub. Our neighbouring converted chapel Y Capel has 11 stunning yet homely guest bedrooms over two floors in a converted 19th century chapel and outbuildings.

Sit back & relax

The Erskine’s slightly austere exterior hides a warm and relaxed interior. With chunky old furniture, rugs and open fires, exactly what you’d want from an old Welsh inn. Our cosy courtyard also makes for the perfect spot to while away a warm summers afternoon over a glass or two of provence. During those colder months (of which we have many in Wales) it's hard to pull yourself away from our roaring open fire.

If you're in Conwy and craving a memorable Sunday roast, look no further than The Erskine Arms. With its delectable food and welcoming ambiance, it's a dining experience worth savouring.

Very good food in a comfortable, relaxed environment, with attentive, confident staff. Would recommend!

Lovely traditional pub with fantastic menu, we both had the katsu chicken and it was beautiful. The deserts were also sensational. Service was top notch.
Trip Advisor
It’s our favourite place to stay in North Wales. Rooms are perfect, always clean and tidy. Atmosphere in the bar is excellent and very good facilities. Food is excellent including breakfast second to none.

What a fantastic place to stay! Our room was in Y Capel with free parking. On arrival, our room looked amazing, with a king size bed, and fantastic bathroom with walk in shower. Restaurant was top quality, as was breakfast the following morning.

Beers a plenty

Beers a plenty

We have got a cracking selection of beers on tap from local cask ales to our very own 'Portside Pilsner'. As well as a great selection of craft beers if you fancy something a little different.
